Advanced Risk Management

The Advanced Risk Management program is a self‑paced, on‑demand comprehensive curriculum, designed for dental professionals responsible for building, managing, and evaluating risk management and compliance programs across dental practices and organizations of all sizes. Grounded in dental law, regulatory requirements, and evidence‑based compliance practice, this program equips participants with the knowledge, skills, and frameworks needed to identify, assess, control, and monitor risk across every dimension of a dental setting. Part 1 of the program is launching first and includes Modules 1–3 guiding participants through the foundational and regulatory pillars of dental risk management. Part 1 also includes a bonus section on informed consent. The full curriculum is organized into six thematic sections that progress logically from foundational concepts through advanced application. As participants move through future modules, they will apply these principles to clinical and ethical decision‑making, examine the people and systems that sustain quality care, and ultimately explore risk financing and program‑level oversight. By the end of Part 1, participants will be able to:

• Understand the concept of risk management and how it applies to dental settings.
• Apply core risk principles, legal concepts, and enterprise frameworks to the dental compliance role including elements of a duty and standard of care.
• Examine the relationship between Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Key Performance
• Indicators (KPI) to reduce operational, clinical, and business risks within a dental setting.
• Evaluate the informed consent process to ensure patient understanding, documentation accuracy, and alignment with legal and ethical standards.
