Dr. Woods recently retired as a full-time faculty member of the AS Dental Hygiene Program at St. Petersburg College and an adjunct in the online Health Services Administration Program.

She received her dental hygiene education at the Broome Community College, Binghamton, New York. Dr. Woods also has a master’s degree in Public Health Education, University of South Florida and a PhD in Higher Education Administration and Leadership from Barry University.

Her professional memberships include the American Dental Hygienists’ Association, including state and local affiliates; the American Dental Education Association; the Florida Association of Community Colleges, International Federation of Dental Hygienists, the American Public Health Association, and the Florida Allied Dental Educators Association.

Dr. Woods has enjoyed giving back to the profession by providing continuing education courses. Her teaching philosophy embraces education that is meaningful and relevant in order for students to be successful. Dr. Woods’ philosophy is a perfect fit with the DCI educational philosophy as well.
